Last Night. . .

I watched Diary of a Mad Black Woman. . .it's really a good movie. That Madea cracked me up. I loved it when she divided everything in half and wound up in jail. Oh, that was priceless! Any who, I also loved many of the phrases that were said through out. This one in particular sent chills up my spine:

"Love is stronger than any addiction, baby; hell, it *is* one"

lsn't that the truth? In fact, I always thought I had no addictions. I would always proudly say. . .the only thing I'm addicted to is Pepsi. LOL. But seriously, I am addicted to love. As far back as I can remember love has been my greatest necessity. Whether it be with my parents, siblings, or husband. I rejoice at being in love and being loved. I think seriously that without it life would be blank. Now don't take this wrong, I am in no way a needy little girl trying to fill a void or anything like that, but I have to admit I'm a total romantic. One of my favorite movies is The Notebook. I love it. I think I cry every single time I watch it.

Here's a few more lines from the Diary of a Mad Black Woman:

Helen: [upon seeing Orlando staring at her] What?

Orlando: I'm just sittin' here, tryin' to think of a way to say this to you.

[pauses]

Orlando: I'm in love with you.
Helen: How do you know that?
Orlando: I don't know how to explain it to you.
Helen: Try.
Orlando: Helen, if I'm away from you for more than an hour, I can't stop thinking about you. I carry you in my spirit. I pray for you more than I pray for myself. I've got it so bad for you I'd... I'd go to the grocery store and buy your feminine products, I swear I would.

[Helen and Orlando laugh]

Orlando: And see? And that... that... That smile. Helen, when you smile like that, my world... It's all right.

[pauses]

Orlando: I am in love with you.

There were of course a kabillion funny parts to the movie thanks to Madea, but the one that said exactly what I was thinking was the part where Made is in the closet trying to beat the heck outta Brenda, the new girlfriend: Here's what happened:

Brenda: If I call the cops, they will be here in *ten* minutes.
Madea: Good. Then that give me nine to beat the hell outta you.
