Halloweennnneeeeyy!!!

I had the best halloween ever. I got to spend it with my nieces, my sisters, and not to mention I got to put on red lipstick! It was so much fun. . .only sad part was that the hubs had to work =(. Oh well, we have next year. Here are some pix.

Circus

I'm so excited!!!! Hahah! I was able to go see Ms. Britney in concert this past Wednesday at the Staples Center!

Can I tell you how much I loved it? She rocked!!!! Personally, I don't care about her personal life. . .she's an artist and she did not disappoint.

Last Night. . .

I watched Diary of a Mad Black Woman. . .it's really a good movie. That Madea cracked me up. I loved it when she divided everything in half and wound up in jail. Oh, that was priceless! Any who, I also loved many of the phrases that were said through out. This one in particular sent chills up my spine:

"Love is stronger than any addiction, baby; hell, it *is* one"

lsn't that the truth? In fact, I always thought I had no addictions. I would always proudly say. . .the only thing I'm addicted to is Pepsi. LOL. But seriously, I am addicted to love. As far back as I can remember love has been my greatest necessity. Whether it be with my parents, siblings, or husband. I rejoice at being in love and being loved. I think seriously that without it life would be blank. Now don't take this wrong, I am in no way a needy little girl trying to fill a void or anything like that, but I have to admit I'm a total romantic. One of my favorite movies is The Notebook. I love it. I think I cry every single time I watch it.

Madea: Good. Then that give me nine to beat the hell outta you.

Keeping Faith

I am by no means a religious person, nor have I ever claimed to be one. I am however very spiritual. I believe family is everything and love is a God given gift. Lately, I have questioned many aspects of my life and am currently involved in one of the most heart-wrenching battles of my life. Even my body is physically reacting to what my heart and soul are going through. I won't publish it here because I am simply not ready to do so, but I am keeping the faith that I will find my way through this. I know that I will choose wisely and learn from all of this. I know that in the end I will be okay.

Any who, here are some of my favorite quotes that are helping guide my way right now.

Mother Teresa:

Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.
Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.
God doesn't require us to succeed; he only requires that you try.
I do not pray for success, I ask for faithfulness.
I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much.

AAA to the Rescue

My laziness has gotten the best of me. It truly has. After repeated requests from my hubby to pass by the gasoline station prior to going to the movies I continued to ignore him. I chose not to do it. Seriously, shame on me. I kept saying "don't worry, I have enough gas to get us there and home". Boy was I wrong!

On our way back, while on the freeway, I pushed the gas and guess what? Nothing happened. The car began to slow down. I quickly made it to an exit and as have would have it, it was an uphill exit. So we got stuck midway. I turned to look at my husband and was about to slap the crap out of the steering wheel when he quickly yelled at me "Don't you dare get a panic attack right now!" I swear, that just made me crack up. He actually managed to make me feel better. I'm glad that he did that. So after a second we called AAA and they were there within minutes.

The AAA guy had to tow the car out of the freeway and onto the street and then fill the tank enough for me to get to a gasoline station (which I did asap).

Finally

Hair Cut, Hair Dyed. . . .Finally

My hair was weighing me down big time. I can't believe I had gone six months without getting it cut! Shhhhh. don't tell! Any who, got my sisters friend to give me a simple cut and some color. Not that big of a difference, but I feel as though I lost some 20 lbs. LOL.

I Want to Move Here When I No Longer Need To Work

The hubby and I took a little drive to Santa Barbara, CA on Tuesday. We stayed there all Wednesday and drove back on Thursday. We had a blast. Santa Barbara is such a relaxing and wonderful place. I really loved it. The hubby and I even talked about opening a little bed and breakfast there. That's how much we both liked it. The only bad thing is that the restaurants pretty much close early.

Actually there's a story behind that. I had to finish a school assignment and the hubby didn't let us leave until it was done. By the time I was done it was about 9:45 pm. So we go out and guess what? The restaurant I wanted to eat at had closed. I was pissed, but in the end I realized the hubs was just looking out for me. He's great.

Any who, back to SB. Well, we spent a lot of time on the beach. A lot. Then we walked over to Downtown. They have all sorts of quaint shops for us to visit. Kind of reminded me of Santa Monica, CA except with a Spanish flare. However, shopping was not in our plans. I really just wanted to visit the historic spots so we headed over to the courthouse. That place is gorgeous! I love anything that is Spanish style, so Santa Barbara didn't disappoint. The courthouse itself is worth the trip. It has some awesome views from a top and the most beautiful green area that I just wanted to lay on and take a nap for a quick minute or two.

Well, before we knew it we had to head back to the hotel because we left the pups there. And again off to the beach to relax with 'em. It was nice. Wish I could do that EVERY day.
