Hi Vox friends! Just stopping by this holiday season to wish you all a Merry Christmas! Guess what! I graduated yesterday! And I got tiramisu and diamonds. And it snowed (weak, melted from the sun today).

It's amazing how once the month of November arrives, the christmas cups come out. I was at school way too early in the morning and was feeling rather crappy, so I headed over to the coffee shop to buy me a soy chai, but instead, got the peppermint latte.

More Sookie Stackhouse!
After I finished the last book, Dead and Gone, I was craving for more of Sookie. Thankfully, Charlaine Harris came out with "A Touch of Dead."
I wasn't going to buy the book at first, but I needed my Sookie and Eric fix.
Two more weeks for my mini holiday. Michael and I along with a bunch of friends are going on a short 4-day Cruise to Encinada, Mexico. What was cool about this trip is that the folks who haven't been on a cruise yet, get to experience what it would be like to be on a both and of course, all the food one can eat.
The midnight buffet full of chocolate, the 24-hour pizza, the 24 hour ice cream (which I'm not a fan of), and the shopping!
Michael is excited too. He's even hosting a barbeque get together for everyone to get to know each other before we go on the holiday and to finalize some details.

It's the first mini holiday that my new Nikon point and shoot camera will be used. I'm so excited to take a plethora of photographs!
Before Michael and I headed to the zoo, we had to work first. The San Diego trip was actually for the California School Board Association 2009 Conference. Yep. It's work.
Michael arrived in San Diego on Wednesday and I flew in on Thursday night. Note to self: Travel at night. There were a lot less passengers on the aeroplane. When I arrived in San Diego, it was off to bed I went since my day started at 5:00 AM and only had 4 hours of interrupted sleep.
The next morning, Michael and I had lunch with some of the Sacramento School Board members at the Broken Yolk in the Gas Lamp District. The restaurant served breakfast 24/7 and its positively scrumptious. I ordered eggs benedict. I couldn't help myself. It looked so good that I had to give up being a vegetarian for one meal. Yes Folks, I ate meat! I also had some fresh pomegranate juice.
After the conference, Michael and I headed to the Zoo on Sunday. It wasn't as sunny as I hoped it would be, but he had a lot of fun. The meerkats were so cute. I wanted to take one home!

I couldn't believe how much I could relate to the character in the book. I can't cook (well, I can but refuse to) and I hate cleaning the house. I mean, I'm clean and all, but I just don't like getting on my hands and knees to scrub the toilet!
My mum says that it won't be as dirty if I cleaned it all the time.
Maybe one day I'll have a mental breakdown just like the character did and actually become a "domestic goddess." Michael would literally drop dead if I did. I mean you know, cook and clean like the 50s housewife.

I'm still trying to figure out my Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for the Macbook Pro. On top of finals week next week, it's pretty difficult to figure out the program and start my illustrations. Yep. A lot of people said that I'm very gifted when it came to the Arts department. Sciences (which I need to do for the nursing program), I suck!
I was pretty stoked that Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince came out on DVD. I thought about buying the Blu-Ray version, but I love having my movies uniformed. I know, better quality, but the regular version is much cheaper. Also, I wanted to buy the two disc set, but who watches the extras anymore? I used to, but I just don't have the time to do it.... So I just stuck with the "movie only" DVD. I bought some knee length socks to to keep my legs warm. I would just buy plain knee length white socks, but I don't wear white socks. I wear black and very colourful ones. It was dirt cheap at Target... a three pack for $6.00. I absolutely love them!
I love Sbux! I love Sbux during the winter season. Peppermint Mochas, Caramel Apple Ciders, Gingerbread Lattes! I love their "Pick of the Week" too. I picked up one of the redeemable cards from Sbux when I was grabbing a soy Green Tea Latte to wake my arse up. Brandi Carlile. Yay!
I also made my mum an iTouch cozy this week as one of her Christmas presents. Actually, she's getting two from me. I also made Snowy the Snowman this weekend. I was so happy I got him done and committed the pattern to paper that I forgot to embroider his smile. Actually, his smirk. He's supposed to be smirking. I guess I'll add it later.
Chipper is so cute. He loves to run around my bed and eventually climbs up the headboard where I keep a lot of crap. He's gotten a hold of my Sanrio Panda stamp. Yep. He started to chew on it until he realized it was plastic and moved on to the next one. I'm hoping he learns that there isn't any food up there for him to eat. But he's been doing it for over a year. Michael says, he's not going to learn. Oh well.
Our office Christmas party is coming up next Friday and it's going to be at RPM racing. We get to go on this racing track and race each other. I'm wondering what we're doing for gift exchange, if we are doing anything. If we are, I guess I'll have enough time to make them a coffee cup cozy, speaking of which, I have to make for Michael's secretary. I'd have to embroider a pig on it (since she loves....actually is obsessed with pigs).

Yay! Michael's going to a meeting and I have time to myself. Its a stay at home night where I can eat what I want (which mostly involves junk food) and watch all of my Disney films. I'm going to start off with Mulan II.
Yep, Mulan and Shang. *Sigh*
Next stop is sleeping Beauty. Aurora and her Prince. Another *Sigh*
It's curl up on the couch night and do nothing!
I've recently learned how to knit and crochet. Well, I've always known how, but my grandmum didn't teach me how to finish a project. So, I'd knit and knit until the end of the yarn, only having to unravel the whole thing and start over again.
Thanks to Liliana (an interpreter at work), I made my first project! Whoooppeee!
Michael is actually afraid of me new found talent. He was already afraid of my sewing machine and the fabrics that I've purchased, now it's going to be yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks. He thinks another monster is brewing and I feel bad for him. I reasoned that it will keep him warm for many winters to come. He laughed and said we'd be moving to a warmer climate which means I can't buy any yarn fibers. Bleeech! Warm weather sucks!
