I had the best halloween ever. I got to spend it with my nieces, my sisters,  and not to mention I got to put on red lipstick! It was so much fun. . .only sad part was that the hubs had to work =(. Oh well, we have next year. Here are some pix.

I watched Diary of a Mad Black Woman. . .it's really a good movie. That Madea cracked me up. I loved it when she divided everything in half and wound up in jail. Oh, that was priceless! Any who, I also loved many of the phrases that were said through out. This one in particular sent chills up my spine:

• Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.
• Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.

• I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. 
• Jesus said love one another. He didn't say love the whole world. 
• Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. 
• Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go. 
• Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work. 
• Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty. 
• One of the greatest diseases is to be nobody to anybody. 

My laziness has gotten the best of me. It truly has. After repeated requests from my hubby to pass by the gasoline station prior to going to the movies I continued to ignore him. I chose not to do it. Seriously, shame on me. I kept saying "don't worry, I have enough gas to get us there and home". Boy was I wrong!

The hubby and I took a little drive to Santa Barbara, CA on Tuesday. We stayed there all Wednesday and drove back on Thursday. We had a blast. Santa Barbara is such a relaxing and wonderful place. I really loved it. The hubby and I even talked about opening a little bed and breakfast there. That's how much we both liked it. The only bad thing is that the restaurants pretty much close early.

Actually there's a story behind that. I had to finish a school assignment and the hubby didn't let us leave until it was done. By the time I was done it was about 9:45 pm. So we go out and guess what? The restaurant I wanted to eat at had closed. I was pissed, but in the end I realized the hubs was just looking out for me. He's great. 

Any who, back to SB. Well, we spent a lot of time on the beach. A lot. Then we walked over to Downtown. They have all sorts of quaint shops for us to visit. Kind of reminded me of Santa Monica, CA except with a Spanish flare. However, shopping was not in our plans. I really just wanted to visit the historic spots so we headed over to the courthouse. That place is gorgeous! I love anything that is Spanish style, so Santa Barbara didn't disappoint. The courthouse itself is worth the trip. It has some awesome views from a top and the most beautiful green area that I just wanted to lay on and take a nap for a quick minute or two.

Well, before we knew it we had to head back to the hotel because we left the pups there. And again off to the beach to relax with 'em. It was nice. Wish I could do that EVERY day.
